Yes its right. No not guilty at all . When i see someone , my brain automatically starts analyzing and judging the person .
Now ask yourselves, can you stop yourself from having opinions or random thoughts about something when you see it? Nope i don’t think so . Hardly anyone can do that. The moment we see something/ someone our brain starts processing and analyzing the things leading to development of opinions and the action of judgement.
There is no human on this planet that has a fully functioning brain and still doesn’t have thoughts appearing when seeing someone. And you did be lieing to yourself if you say you aren’t judgmental.
But what i wonder is , at what point did judgement become so scary and so offensive? so insulting? When did calling judgmental become a barb and to saying someone is not judgmental become a compliment??
For as i see this judging helps accomplishing the purpose. Purpose of judgement is to deepen our capacity which allows us to clarify what we want or what we prefer .
Tell me how would you even classify things into good or bad, categorize your likes and dislikes, the rights and wrongs without them being judged ??
So if we come to see it, this cursed term actually gives rise to personal values.
Now before everyone starts feeling judged lets clarify that harsh judgments for the purpose of exclusion and hurt should not occur . This type of judgement that gives all judgement a bad name . But we need to judge so that our society does not become one wherein everything is permissive and nothing is wrong.
I could be wrong i could be right but we wont even think about it if everyone is to afraid to judge it. What if for all i knew everyone agrees with me but everyone is too afraid to make that judgement.
Imagine telling someone that your judgement is that he or she is very kind, with the retort being stop being so judgmental” obviously we typically appreciate folks being judgmental when their judgments compliment us .
So what i feel is that judgement do not necessarily distance us from holding different beliefs this allows us to learn.
And also that the world would be also much better place if we all start being more judgmental and start making more compliments than comments.
